about me

Patrice Brown

Hello! My name is Patrice and I am the mother of two beautiful children. I am the big sister of two siblings, but most of all, I am me. I am a person that has had storms and mountains to climb. Believe it or not, I am still climbing. I recently lost my mom to cancer in June 2017, as well as my best friend in May 2017. By no means am I here to paint pretty pictures about my life or surroundings. My books are based on my everyday life experiences.

As a mental health counselor, I have been listening, coaching and counseling others in various areas for over 12 years. I began my education at Vance Granville Community College, where I received my associate degree in human services technology. I went on to get my bachelor's degree in psychology from Argosy University and a master's degree in forensic psychology. I have owned and operated a mental health facility over the past 6 years.

I am a overachiever. I like to excel and I have tremendous drive and determination. I believe if at first you don’t succeed, try again.

Since birth, I have always had to put myself first and stay on my personal growth pattern. Life is nothing but a journey or path, and let me be the first to say it’s hard. Life is what you make it and it is full of twists and turns.
